First Annual Armed Services Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 5K

Formally known as Oktoberfest, Race Director, Ron Knoll’s newly branded race, Armed Services Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 5K will be a collaboration with our armed services branches, Folds of Honor, VFW and sponsors. Wanting to personalize the event for our participants, there will be a “WALL OF HONOR” placed near packet pickup. At this wall, participants will have the opportunity to place a picture(s) or write a name(s) of individuals they are running for, active, former, retired, fallen or disabled. In our efforts to honor those that have served and are serving, we also want to make the event personal for our participants.

Spring Lake Central Park and the Run Around Spring Lake (aka: R.A.S.L.) is one of the most scenic venues and courses in West Michigan. The courses, very well stocked aid stations, professional, volunteer and community support is the same as what has been enjoyed in past years. This “re-branding” will bring a whole new level of excitement to our annual event.
