About This Project

For the past few years, I’ve worked with Kevin VanderGraaf, the race director for the Allendale Triathlon, to provide him with race day photo coverage of his young race. It happens at the end of the tri season, in September, at a unique venue, Countryside Greenhouse in Allendale. The facility is huge with lots of natural light, fall plants and home and garden merchandise everywhere. The transition area, finish line, award ceremony and after-party all take place indoors so it’s easy to capture the action. It also happens to be a favorite of the top elite athletes in Michigan who come to compete for the massive prize money.  These images are some of my favorites from 2017 and 2018.
