Named after the legendary Paris-Roubaix, Barry-Roubaix is one of Michigan’s most demanding and well-known gravel races, challenging riders across rolling gravel roads, pavement, rough two-track, and whatever spring conditions Barry County delivers. The event offers four race distances—18, 36, 62, and 100 miles—designed to test riders of all abilities, with elevation gain ranging from approximately 1,200 to more than 7,000 feet.
Barry-Roubaix is a cornerstone of the Michigan Gravel Race Series and is widely recognized for its scale, difficulty, and community impact. In 2026, the event earned top honors at the FLY Awards, winning two categories and reinforcing its reputation as a standout in the Midwest gravel scene. With youth racing opportunities, fat bike categories, and strong local sponsorship support, Barry-Roubaix continues to set the bar for gravel racing in Michigan.

Ride through the wilds of Lower Michigan’s largest park, where pristine forests, rolling glacial terrain, and sparkling lakes provide a breathtaking backdrop for the gravel cycling experience of a lifetime.
Given Waterloo Recreational Area’s glacial history, the bike courses will vary from rolling hill climbs and swift descents to winding curves and rare straightaways. Some roads will be paved. Others may be patched. Most will be dirt and rock. Expect to get dusty. Expect to get grimy. Expect to have the time of your life!
100K: Now one loop that winds through Waterloo’s more than 20,000 acres.
50K: Condenses the best that the 100K offers into half the distance
11-mile: a little bit of everything!
